Ingrediënten
- plain flour
- sunflower oil
- cod fillets, skinless
- fine sea salt
- ground black pepper
- baking powder

Bereidingswijze
- Place a large freezer bag in mixing bowl and weigh flour into it. Place bag in freezer for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil to 180°C in a deep saucepan or deep fat fryer. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Insert butterfly whisk. Place cold flour and baking powder in mixing bowl then mix 10 sec/speed 2.
- Add ale and whisk 2 min/speed 3 until smooth. Remove butterfly whisk. Batter should be used immediately; dip fish pieces in batter then carefully place in hot oil and deep-fry for 3-5 minutes until golden and cooked through.
