Caprese Omelette
This Caprese omelette combines fresh cherry tomatoes, creamy mozzarella and basil in a perfectly steamed egg mixture. The Thermomix TM7 uses Varoma steaming cooking to create this Italian-inspired breakfast with restaurant-quality results in minutes.

Ingrediënten
- large eggs
- fine sea salt
- ground black pepper
- water
- cherry tomatoes
- fresh mozzarella
- fresh basil leaves
- balsamic glaze
Bereidingswijze
- Cut baking paper to fit Varoma tray (see tip). Scrunch baking paper into a ball under running water then squeeze out excess water. Insert Varoma tray, line Varoma tray with wet baking paper and set aside.
- Place eggs, salt and pepper in mixing bowl then mix 20 sec/speed 3.5. Transfer to prepared Varoma tray and set aside. Rinse mixing bowl.
- Place water in mixing bowl. Place Varoma into position. Distribute tomatoes and mozzarella over eggs then steam 15-17 min/Varoma/speed 2, until eggs are set. Meanwhile, preheat grill to 220°C.
- Carefully slide baking paper with cooked eggs onto a baking tray and grill for 3-5 minutes (220°C) until top of eggs are lightly browned. Serve hot or warm garnished with basil and balsamic glaze.
