Ingrediënten

  • vegetable oil
  • fresh green chillies
  • garlic cloves
  • fresh coriander leaves
  • semolina
  • plain yoghurt
  • water
  • fine sea salt
  • bicarbonate of soda

Bereidingswijze

  1. Grease and line base of a round cake tin (Ø 20 cm) with baking paper.
  2. Place chillies, garlic and coriander in mixing bowl then mince 3 sec/speed 9. Scrape down sides and lid of mixing bowl with spatula.
  3. Add semolina, yoghurt, 120 g water, salt and bicarbonate of soda then mix 15 sec/speed 4. Transfer to prepared cake tin.
  4. Place remaining 1000 g water in mixing bowl and place Varoma dish into position. Arrange 2 wooden skewers, cut to fit (approx. 19 cm), in Varoma dish. Rest cake tin on top of skewers ensuring it is level then cover and steam 20 min/Varoma/speed 1. Set Varoma aside and remove Varoma lid then allow to stand for 3 minutes before serving.
