Easy Satay Chicken
Create delicious satay chicken with tender broccoli and snap peas in your Thermomix TM7. The machine mills fresh ginger and garlic into aromatic spice paste, steams vegetables perfectly in the Varoma, and cooks jasmine rice simultaneously for a complete Asian-inspired meal.

Ingrediënten
- dried fennel seeds
- cumin seeds
- coriander seeds
- ground turmeric
- fresh root ginger
- garlic cloves
- fresh red chillies
- Tamari sauce
- tamarind pulp
- oyster sauce
Bereidingswijze
- Place all spices in mixing bowl and mill 30 sec/speed 10.
- Add ginger, garlic and chilli and chop 30 sec/speed 7. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula.
- Add all remaining satay sauce ingredients and cook 3 min/90°C/speed 1, then blend 30 sec/speed 10. Transfer sauce to a large serving bowl and set aside to keep warm.
- Place water in mixing bowl, then re-insert simmering basket with rice. Place Varoma dish into position and weigh chicken into it. Cover with Varoma lid and cook 10 min/Varoma/speed 2.
- Stir chicken in Varoma dish to ensure even cooking. Insert Varoma tray, then weigh carrot, broccoli, cauliflower, pepper and brown onion onto it. Cover with Varoma lid and cook a further 15-20 min/Varoma/speed 2 , or until rice is cooked. Set Varoma aside. Remove simmering basket with aid of spatula, then transfer rice to a seperate large bowl to keep warm. Empty mixing bowl.
