Ingrediënten

  • strong wholemeal bread flour
  • strong white bread flour
  • baking powder
  • fine sea salt
  • buttermilk
  • Guinness®
  • treacle
  • porridge oats

Bereidingswijze

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a loaf tin (900 g/2 lb) with baking paper.
  2. Place wholemeal flour, white flour, baking powder and salt in mixing bowl then mix 10 sec/speed 3.
  3. Add buttermilk, Guinness® and treacle, mix 20 sec/speed 3 then knead Dough /2 min; dough will be sticky. Transfer to prepared tin and sprinkle with oats.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes (180°C) then turn oven down to 170°C and bake for a further 40 minutes. Remove from tin and bake on oven rack for a further 10-15 minutes (170°C) until loaf sounds hollow when tapped underneath. Transfer to a wire rack to cool or serve warm.
