Royal Mountains Apple Pie (Szarlotka „królewskie góry”)
Traditional Polish apple pie with Granny Smith apples and cinnamon, perfectly prepared in the Thermomix TM7. The mixing function creates a flawless pastry dough while the controlled cooking ensures tender, caramelised apples. This dessert combines classic flavours with modern efficiency.

Ingrediënten
- plain flour
- icing sugar
- natural vanilla extract
- unsalted butter
- baking powder
- vanilla quark
- egg yolk
- caster sugar
- ground cinnamon
- Granny Smith apples
Bereidingswijze
- Place flour, icing sugar, vanilla, butter and baking powder in mixing bowl then mix 15 sec/speed 5
- Add vanilla quark and egg yolk then mix 20 sec/speed 4. Transfer dough to a work surface and form into a ball. Wrap in cling film then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl until combined then set aside. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a large baking tray with baking paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Transfer dough to a lightly-floured work surface, divide into 2 parts of 550 g and 450 g. Roll out the smaller part into a rectangle (30 x 24 cm) and use it to line the bottom of the prepared tray. Place apple halves on the dough, dome side up. Sprinkle apples with cinnamon sugar mixture. Roll out remaining pastry into a larger rectangle (approx. 35 x 30 cm) and place loosely on top of the apples (see tip). Bake for 50-55 minutes (160°C). Serve warm dusted with icing sugar.
