Steamed Chorizo Bread Rolls
These fluffy steamed chorizo bread rolls are a deliciously savoury treat, perfect as a snack or appetiser. Ingredients
- chorizo
- whole milk
- caster sugar
- unsalted butter
- dried yeast
- medium egg
- strong white bread flour
- fine sea salt
- water
Instructions
- Place chorizo in mixing bowl and chop 4 sec/speed 8. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
- Place milk, sugar, butter and yeast in mixing bowl then mix 3 min/37°C/speed 2.
- Add egg, flour and salt then mix 10 sec/speed 4. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula and mix again 10 sec/speed 4.
- Add reserved chopped chorizo and mix 5 sec/speed 4. Leave dough to prove in mixing bowl, with lid on, until doubled in size (approx. 30 minutes).
- Place water in mixing bowl, place covered Varoma into position, prove Fermentation /1 h/70°C, then steam 25 min/Varoma/speed 1. Set Varoma aside. Leave to cool for 10 minutes then remove bread rolls from Nester and transfer to a wire rack. Serve warm or leave to cool completely.
