Ingrediënten

  • sirloin steaks
  • roasted peanuts, unsalted
  • ground black pepper
  • dried thyme
  • chilli powder
  • ground ginger
  • garlic powder
  • chicken stock cube (for 0.5 l)
  • curry powder
  • vegetable oil

Bereidingswijze

  1. Place peanuts in mixing bowl and grind 10 sec/speed 10.
  2. Add pepper, thyme, chilli powder, garlic powder, chicken stock, ground ginger, curry powder, salt and oil then mix 10 sec/speed 3. Transfer to bowl with steaks then place in fridge and marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Towards the end of this time, if using wooden skewers, soak skewers in warm water for 30 minutes. Towards the end of soaking time, preheat a griddle pan over medium heat or light barbecue.
  4. Thread marinated beef onto skewers (approx. 5 pieces per skewer). Cook beef over a high heat until caramelised and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and leave to rest for 2-3 minutes (see tip). Serve alongside a salad or in flatbreads, for example.
