Walnut Scones

Ingrediënten
- self-raising flour
- unsalted butter
- baking powder
- fine sea salt
- whole milk
- walnut halves
- egg yolk
Bereidingswijze
- Preheat oven to 230°C. Lightly dust a baking tray with flour then set aside.
- Place flour, butter, baking powder and salt in mixing bowl then mix 5 sec/speed 6.
- Add milk and walnuts then mix Dough /20 sec. Tip out onto a floured surface and bring together into a disc (approx. 3 cm thick), being careful not to overwork the dough.
- Use a sharp knife to cut into six triangular segments. Arrange on prepared baking tray and brush with beaten egg yolk. Bake for 12-15 minutes (230°C) until lightly golden then transfer to a wire rack to cool. Serve warm or at room temperature.
